Senior Moments: Help for Seniors Available a Few Hours a Week

We had a client call recently asking for some help for his father.  His Dad was coming to Austin from another counry and planned on staying with his son for a couple of months.  Since our client worked fulltime and didn’t have other family members nearby, he was looking for someone who would touch base with his father each day, making sure he got something to eat and would help him get around town if he wanted to go out.  We were happy to help.

It made me think about my own parents; two Snowbirds who escape the icy grip of Iowa each winter and stay with us here in toasty Texas.  While they are both in excellent health and are completely independent and mobile, I am considering hooking them up with an Avail Assistant this year – a “Senior Companion”  that could stop in and help, answer questions, make arrangements, etc. when I’m not around.  I think it’s definitely worth considering for anyone whose senior parents may need a little extra help or support

Can You Really Afford NOT to Hire An Assistant This Year?

In today’s economy, hiring an assistant to help with both business and personal tasks may seem like an over-indulgent luxury.  Many of the small business owners and entreprenuers I talk to admit they could really use the help, yet feel the expense of having an assistant would be too much for them to handle.

But take a closer look.  In reality, a top-notch assistant can not only save you money, but could actually boost your business and your bottom line.

In a recent article for WomenEntreprenuer , author and entreprenuer Aliza Sherman explains how you can’t afford not to hire an assistant. Sherman and other entreprenuers outline several ways their businesses have prospered since they hired assistants and also give some advice on how to allocate funds for this important business investment.

It’s a new year, full of exciting new possibilities for you and your business.  Avail Assistants is ready to help you move  to the next level.  Are you ready?
